PRODUCER NOTES 2008
Were fermented in the Winery of the Quinta das Marvalhas in Almendra, in the heart of the Douro Superior.
Selected grapes of Tinta Roriz, Touriga Franca and Touriga Nacional in our farms. We used about 1 / 3 of each variety, for the spicy notes and firm tannins of Tinta Roriz, the notes of heather and soft tannins of Touriga Franca, supplemented by complex aromas of black fruits and berries, floral notes and very fresh labeled Touriga Nacional Douro Superior.
2008 was a very fresh year, generally with medium weight but very elegant wines. Because the rainfall forecast, the harvest was anticipated. Very elegant medium weight red wines, with hints of spices, red and black fruits.
Flavours of berries and spices, long and elegant finish, with "liquorice" notes. Try it with traditional portuguese meals, like meat or fish in the oven, smoked pork, and spicy cuisine, great with curry dishes. Serve between 15 and 16 °C.

We selected grapes of Tinta Roriz, Touriga Franca and Touriga Nacional in our farms.
We used about 1/3 of each variety, looking for the spicy notes and firm tannins of Tinta Roriz, the notes of rock rose and soft tannins of Touriga Franca, supplemented by the complexity of black and wild fruit aromas, floral and very fresh notes marked the National Touriga Douro Superior.
On the nose, fresh and elegant with notes of wild black fruits and black cherries balanced with enticing nuances of "liquor", and the aroma complexed by very discrete wood notes.
The palate is warm and spicy with firm tannins smooth texture, very persistent finish.
This wine accompanies meats, cheeses and Mediterranean cuisine in general.
