Porto Ferreira Vintage 2007 is an extraordinary wine of a single outstanding year selected for its unique quality to be matured in bottle, favouring all its unique characteristics and potential. Gift of nature, Porto Ferreira Vintage wines are shaped by human skill and a long winemakingexpertise, established for more than 250 years. Ferreira houses one of the most celebrated Vintage Porto Wine cellar, a reference for the sector, with wines since 1815.
Porto Ferreira Vintage 2007 has an opaque purple colour, with some shades of violet. The aromas have an excellent intensity and complexity. Balsamic aromas of exotic and cedar woods and a slight touch of tobacco box with hints of ripe red fruits and spices (pepper and clove) are evident. In the mouth, it has a powerful strike, with firm tannins of a great quality, good acidity and is possible to detect the ripe red fruits and a slight floral taste of basil. The finish is extremely long and vibrant.

The grapes, hand-picked with optimal maturation, were vinified following Porto Wine' s traditional method. Fermentation took place in robotic lagars and stainless steel vats, with skin maceration under controlled temperature. It was halted through the addition of wine alcohol at the ideal point for each vine variety.
These exceptional wines chosen to make up the final blend of this Porto Ferreira Vintage 2007 were taken to the traditional lodges in V.N.Gaia where, after two years, the final blend was bottled with no prior treatment, in a black bottle sealed with a long cork that ensures a good sealing throughout its long storage period.

Designed to mature over decades, the wine will naturally throw sediment requiring careful opening and decanting prior to serving. Serve between 17ºC-20ºC. Once open, enjoy within 24 hours of opening.
Extremely young, this wine which will develop its potential along the coming decades (+15-20 years). Porto Ferreira Vintage 2007 is a classic Porto Wine, ideal to be served on its own or with nuts. It will also go well with rich cheese such as Serra da Estrela.
