“Terroir” recognised historically for its great potential for the production of high-quality wines, Quinta da Aguieira is situated in the region of Bairrada. After a careful selection in the vine, grapes from the best parcels of Quinta da Aguieira are softly pressed at low pressure. Chardonnay ferments in french oak barrels of second use. The grape varieties Maria Gomes, Cerceal and Bical ferment in stainless steel vats at controlled temperatures, so as to preserve its freshness and the primary aromas of each grape variety. It is followed by ageing for 6 months in fine lees in barrels to then carry out the Reserva da Familia batch. Before bottling, the wine is filtered and stabilised.
the Reserva da Família has a light gold colour and a soft shine. Result of the proximity of the vines to the Atlantic Ocean, this wine is endowed with exemplary freshness. The soil, made up of a clayey-limestone composition, and the low yield per plant, lend it unique complexity and concentration which are complemented by well-fused aromas of French oak barrels in which Chardonnay ferments and ages for 6 months.
