Casa Ferreirinha

Casa Ferreirinha is a brand with more than 250 years. It was strengthened thanks to Dona Antónia Adelaide Ferreira, born in 1811, who created new extensions of vineyards in the Douro, increased and improved the company's stocks of old wines and contributed to improving the lives of local farming families.

Continuing the work started several years earlier, Fernando Nicolau de Almeida, an early worker at the company, who would later become its technical director, had the dream of producing elegant, refined and high quality Douro wines. He is the creator of the iconic Barca Velha, a wine that elevates Casa Ferreirinha to levels of excellence.
