Marlborough, New Zealand’s largest and most important wine region, is renowned for its vibrant Sauvignon Blanc. Located on the northeastern tip of the South Island, it produces over three-quarters of the country’s wine, with over 27,800 hectares of vineyards. Sauvignon Blanc dominates, accounting for over 80% of plantings.
