Marquês de Borba - Red Wine

Marquês de Borba red is a product of João Portugal Ramos. Harvested by hand and machine, the grapes used in this wine come from limestone and schist soils, providing a unique flavor profile. The vinification process includes temperature-controlled fermentation of fully de-stemmed bunches in stainless tanks, with a portion also fermented in marble "lagares". This wine is then aged for six months in second and third year French and American small oak barrels.

The Marquês de Borba red wine boasts an excellent aromatic concentration, with an intensely fruity aroma of berries, cassis, and preserves. Its smooth tannins and good balance between fruit, acidity, and tannin make it a standout. This wine is a blend of Aragonez, Trincadeira, Touriga Nacional, Alicante Bouschet, Petit Verdot, and Merlot grapes, all sourced from the Alentejo region.
