Fernão Pires, also known as Maria Gomes in the Bairrada region, is one of the oldest and most traditional white Portuguese grape varieties. It is characterized by fresh, fruity wines with good acidity. Widely cultivated in the center and south of the country, it is appreciated in both young and aged wines.
