The Royal Oporto Extra Dry is a standout white port produced by Real Companhia Velha. Made from traditional grape varieties such as Malvasia Fina, Donzelinho Branco, Viosinho, and Gouveio, this port is a generous and full-bodied wine.
Its unique vinification process involves adding grape brandy to the must in full fermentation, resulting in a dry white port. The brandy is added at the end of the fermentation when virtually no sugars are left, giving the Royal Oporto Extra Dry its distinctive dry style. This port is fermented in stainless steel vats with temperature control and then stained in oak vats for 18 months. The result is a fresh, versatile drink that is straw yellow in color and has fruity aromas of raisins. It is recommended to serve this port chilled, either with ice and orange peel or as a Port Tonic, to bring out all its quality.
